Age limit :When you turn 26, it will be too late to enjoy the benefits of these contracts! You must have finished the first cycle of secondary education.
Duration: The contracts last 1-2 years in general.
Advantage: The company who hosts the beneficiary of the contract is exonerated from employer's social security and wage contributions for the duration of the contract. Please note that the older you are, the less attractive it is for the employer to take you on.
Status: Your contract must be registered at the Labour Offices. In this regard, you enjoy the same regime as other employees.
Trial period:As with every fixed-term contract, there is a trial period. If this trial period proves inconclusive, if your "alarm clock breaks down" a few times too often or if you make a serious mistake, the company can break the contract during the first two months.
Costs : The student pays nothing (except the application and registration fees). Authorities and tax on professional training, paid each year by the companies, provide the costs for the training in the school.
Salary: Your pay is a fraction of the minimum wage, which depends on your age and the level of the diploma you are preparing.
